Types of Schengen visas
In 1985, the Schengen Agreement was signed, according to which citizens of the signatory countries made it easier to cross borders. Today, the agreement includes 26 European states. To visit them, citizens of Ukraine must issue a Schengen visa.

- A – airport visa, allowing to stay in the transit zone. It is forbidden to leave the airport.
- B – transit visa. Travel on the territory of the state is allowed, the total duration of the stay should not exceed a five-day period.
- C – tourist visa, which allows you to stay in the country for a limited period, moves throughout the Schengen zone. It is divided into several categories:
- - C1 – valid for up to thirty days;
- - C2 – valid for 31-90 days;
- - C3 – multiple visa, valid for one hour. It is allowed to stay up to 90 days in a half-year period;

- D – national visa with a long-term permit. It is allowed to stay in the territory of the selected state only.
For what period is a Schengen visa issued?
